Join us in serving Nassau County and GREATER New YORK
HOPE IN ACTION IS OUR Church’s outreach ministry.
Our mission is to integrate faith and works and give back to the world through volunteering and charity.
Our vision is to serve the needy and provide family-friendly service opportunities to engender a culture of service that bears fruit for generations to come.
Hope in Action is looking for volunteers to participate in these exciting community service opportunities. While family-friendly, we recommend children be of ages 5 and up for these service opportunities. Younger children are more than welcome but parents should be prepared to care for them during the community service activities.
Cru Inner City: We have been partnering with Cru Inner City to pack back to school supplies and meals for distribution to families in need through local churches. Cru Inner City designates service days for Hope East Church members, with children ages 5+, friends, and family members welcome to participate.
If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation to support CRU Inner City's work, visit give.cru.org/2289571.
Flushing House: We serve the Flushing House independent senior residence where we periodically have reading, caroling, and/or arts and craft sessions together with the elderly community. Flushing House is the largest not for profit independent living retirement community in New York, housing over 300 older adults.
Douglaston Women’s Shelter: We serve the elderly homeless women at the Douglaston Women’s Shelter through providing donations of clothing/toiletries, hosting a free shopping event using the donations, and setting up an annual lunch outreach.
