Jose Mcgrath LEADER

Jose Mcgrath was born in Manhattan and raised in Brooklyn. When he was a teenager, he volunteered at a summer Vacation Bible School camp where he found his passion of working with children. Consequently, Jose pursued a teaching career and graduated with a master’s degree in curriculum education from City College. Having worked for more than 30 years at an underprivileged community school, Jose sees himself as an instrument of inspiration and enrichment for the children. It was there at the community school that Jose met his beautiful wife, Wendy. Married for 20 years they have been blessed with two beautiful and amazing daughters, Elesha and Sofia. Jose enjoys family vacationing in tropical islands with beautiful beaches where he spends the entire time enjoying the water. Jose spends his time serving his own family that is dear to his heart, as well as the community. He believes that it is a blessing to be part of a church family who loves the Lord and cares for one another and for visitors. As a member, he enjoys greeting and conversing with church family members. He has been attending Hope East for 4 years and is truly happy to be part of a diverse family that has the desire to eagerly work to grow God’s Kingdom.
